| I was interested in this one girl and I managed to work up the courage to ask her if she wanted to go get a drink with me at the local coffee shop in town. All I said was that I just wanted to talk with her (in order to get to know her a little better). She said she would call me on the following friday or saturday because she was unsure of her working hours. Those days came and I never got a phone call, maybe she was working I do not know. But I figured that maybe she would call on another day. And my question is why not try to call me, or reply on facebook? I have not done anything wrong as far as I know of. Now I do understand that it is possible that there many different situations or reasons. But some answers would be helpful, thanks. |

| Do you actually know this person, or was it someone you randomly met at a shop or something? Because I once get asked for my number at the library where I work from a guy I'd helped a moment ago, but I didn't know him at all and found no reason to create anything. |

| I kind of know her. We go to the same college and I occasionally see her at the campus church meetings and sometimes around town. |

ok just replying as if I was this girl...
if it was me, and i really wanted to go with you, I'd kinda make sure I did get back to you.
Whereas, if I didn't want to... I think normally I'd just say so (in a nice way...) but sometimes I feel horrible, so the easiest way to kinda so "no" is to just not say anything and pretend I forgot about it. but every girl is different, and maybe she genuinely forgot. idk...
Pray about it?? and maybe ask God that if you're not meant to date her, for Him to take your feelings for her away? I know it's hard, as I've recently had to do it... but it's better now than later when you've got even more feelings.
I feel so sorry that I can't give you a happier reply lol. but idk, maybe she did just forget. |

Getting together to "chat" is uncomfortable for me personally, I'd so much rather go somewhere and have a project or sport or something. It's just easier to get comfortable around each other.
But that is a side note.
Like Jo said, either she truly forgot or she just isn't interested in you. Which doesn't mean that she won't ever be, maybe she isn't actually ignoring you but she doesn't have anything to say. You don't seem to really know each other well... plus, for me, I hate to call a guy. I always feel like I'm being too forward and he'll get annoyed, even when we're very definitely "just friends"! |

yeah actually, adelynn made me think of something, I'd prob feel uncomfortable calling a guy too.
like I'm great friends with this guy, and have been for 2 yrs, but I'm still too shy to call him, even as a friend. |

| As you have said you know her from collage. She also has work. If she was really busy she may have forgotten. I know when I get stressed I often forget something I was asked earlier in the day. Another thing is she may have been scared to call. I know when I call a guy it takes me a long time to get up the nerve to do it. I find it's alot harder to talk on the phone then in person. I would try again and see how it goes. Ask to study this time though. That way if you run out of things to talk about you can always revert bck to your schoolwork which means no akward silences. |
