| Hey Guys, does it bother you to see girls wearing guy clothing (i.g., shorts)? |

| *shakes head*...Nope! It doesn't bother me really if girls wear shorts (Daisy Dukes do bother me. LOL), or jeans, as long as they're not too short or too tight. As far as the "guy clothing," whatever you do, make sure you dress otherwise in a way that says "I'm a beautiful woman," not "hurrr, I'm tryin' to look like a dude!" We like pretty women, but not pretty dudes. :-P |

| That was funny, Grant. And good to hear, because I wear guy's shorts- the ones in the girls department are basically not even there. |

| Thanks! That was really helpful. I like to wear guy shorts because they are nice and long and modest. Finding modest girl shorts is a bit difficult. Which leads me to another question: for shorts, how short do you think is too short? I like my shorts to touch my knees, but that's just me. |

I think about just above the knees is high enough!!! Cuz then if you sit down and they pull up even higher, you can's see up! I like shorts that go just below the knees and then have like ties I can't figure out how to spell them. (culottes?? that's what the computer pulled up) I like plaid shorts that are longer (on guys and girls) |

Sears had a bunch of bermuda shorts last summer so i bought a couple pairs! <3 Love those knee-lengths! We have a rule that my shorts can only go about 2 inches above my knees, and I'm totally ok with that. I don't want to wear anything shorter. I used to wear boys shorts, but now i just feel awkward looking for shorts in the guys dept. so i have bermudas and a couple cut-offs, which are good enough for farm work! |

Ummm...as a guy, up to even 2-3" above the knees doesn't bother me too much at least walking around, etc. (I work at a college campus) One thing I'll note though, don't wear too enormously baggy shorts either. When you're sitting down, or if you cross your legs, or have one leg propped up on something, etc., you can see right up yonder, and up yonder is where my eyes shouldn't go. A guys eyes will catch at least a really quick glance before he even has time to think, and if he doesn't think fast when it starts workin', he's got a problem on his hands. No, I'm not saying wear spandex shorts, cuz that kinda defeats the purpose, but keep that in mind when you're fitting them. Try them on in the fitting rooms, sit down in front of a mirror, cross your legs, do whatever you do when you're just chillin' with your friends, and see what you can see, then assume a guy will see a little more, and choose accordingly. Sorry, we're a bunch of animals, but we eat what we're fed. Hope this helps a li'l bit... |

Up yonder! I love it! I definitely understand... But Im not a big fan of shorts at all really, just dont feel comfortable in them. I usually wear either pants or capris... But recently I cut off a pair of old jeans and they were uneven so I continued to cut to get them even... And they wound up WAY too short... But I am a huge eighties clothig gfan... (more eighties rock...) and I still have a few pairs of the capri leggings, and I wear the shorts with that... And it looks super cute, Im not wasting clothing and it is stylish but still cover me. Big plus. |

Interesting...I was just about to mention something about what I think you're saying you have! I saw at least 2 girls wearing them with short shorts today at the college, and I don't recall ever seeing them before! I see what you girls are saying about all girls shorts being short short! I noticed a couple girls wearing what I was pretty sure were guy's shorts, and it looked very modest. Pretty much met at the knee. I was comparing today(I know, sounds creepy, but I didn't let my mind go there), and concluded that anywhere from 0-2-3" above the knee is just right. I don't think I've ever found myself lusting, or struggling with girls wearing shorts anywhere in that range. I think knees and maybe a li'l more is tastefully attractive/good looking/whatever, without pushing boundaries. I saw alot of 8-10"ers today, and pretty near flipped a couple breakers in the process. LOL I think I only saw 1 pair of pants on a girl student today. (That's not saying I saw a whole bunch wearing 2 pairs of pants. ) So...yeah, get guy's shorts, or loooong girl's shorts. haha! |

| Thanks, Grant, you've been really helpful! It's also helpful to talk to my brother about modesty issues, which I encourage all you girls with brothers to do. Really, it's not as hard as it might seem. Today my sister and her friend were asking guys at the mall about shorts and most of them didn't seem to care how short a girl's shorts were. Which is really sad. And it's also really sad that most girls don't seem to care either. |

| okay this is kind of not on the exact subject, but guys (okay grant because you're the one answering here....hehe) what do you think of miniskirts with leggings....does that make a difference? |

Hmmm...in Kansas, you might as well just be wearing the leggings, because the miniskirt would be covering your belly button instead of your thighs approximately every 32 seconds any time you're outside. Haha! I guess if you're not from KS you wouldn't get it...wind! In answer to your question though, yes, the leggings would make a difference, but at least if they're the tight ones like I'm thinking of, they still don't leave a whole lot to the imagination. I'm probably a bad person to ask though, because I personally ain't a real big fan of miniskirts anyway. |

^haha...I like it! same in MN! except you'd probably freeze before your skirt had a chance to start flying. Thanks Grant for being "faithful to the forums"! I don't know what we girls would do without you! ok, how about basketball shorts? I actually don't like wearing them that much because i think they're sloppy-looking, but they are long enough, so long as you don't sit so anyone can look "up yonder". |

Haha, I hate cold! I don't either...hmmm...I could leave for a while and you could find out! I think they're fine! They're nothing really "beautiful," but they're very practical and comfortable for lounging around, or sports. Another thing is just sitting with both feet on the ground I don't think is that big of a deal, but when you prop your leg up on something, or cross your legs or something, that's when things start heading "up yonder" LOL |
