I finally got my new devo book, and the first day they had this really great story that I really thought y'all might like: "So how's your day been, Gabriel?" asked Michael. The two sat across from each other at the Golden Gate Diner. Gabriel swallowed his bite of cheeseburger. "Great. I watched God create a girl today. It was so exciting! She's so funny. And talented. She has this amazing compassion. She's going to reflect God's love for others. He really poured His heatr into her." "I love how His eyes light up when He finishes one of His creations." Gabriel laughed. "I know. I loved hearing Him talk about His 'Poem'- that's what He calls them." Michael snatched one of Gabriel's fries. "But I don't get it. He knows they're going to disappoint Him. They always do." The other angel nodded, his eyes saddened. "He knows they're flawed. But He hopes that their failures will draw them to seek a relationship with Him. That's what He wants most of all. Can you imagine? God wants a relationship with this girl more than anything." "I've known God for all eternity and I still can't grasp how much He loves His creations." Gabriel took a sip of Dr Pepper. "I know. It's amazing. And the 'Created' don't get it either. They try so hard to do everything right, afraid that He'll turn His back on them for messing up. They don't get that He loves them simply because they're His. Because He created each one individually." "Even when they hurt Him." Michael wiped away some ketchup that had smeared on his cheek. "He always forgives them. Her worth to the Almighty isn't based on how much she does right or wrong." Gabriel nodded. "But The Enemy sure knows how to convince them otherwise." "It's too bad," Michael said, musing. "Because God just wants them to come to Him, and see the truth of how much He loves them." If you girls are interested in this book, it's part of the Brio Devotional Series; "Want More? Love". I already like it! :^)
