I love guys who can play an instrument, though I'm not too fond of drummers...
Well.... crap. Drummers are awesome. (I'm a drummer).
Honestly, the whole musicians being attractive thing gets on my nerves. As a relational quality, it's meaningless. I honestly am not trying to be rude here, but it's yet another example of the typically shallow things that cause girls to feel attraction.
Let me try to give you an analogy to illustrate my point. Are you familiar with the claim that most if not every guy prefers blonds? While that is actually much less true than the claim that being a male musician makes you more attractive, think about how it makes you feel. Not every girl is a natural blond. Doesn't it feel unfair? For those of you who aren't blond, doesn't it make you feel that not being blond somehow makes you not as attractive and just rather "less than"? Doesn't it irritate you that you are being shoved aside because of a quality that has nothing to do with whether you would be a good girlfriend or not?

LOL firstly David, I dont like drummers because... My friend dated a drummer who was a scumbag/two timing a hole lol. to put it politely... and he put me off drummers for life, cuz he thought he was the man and he was so horrible to anyone who couldn't drum as well as he could and on the worship team, he didn't care if he was louder than all the other instruments and overpowered everyone and when told to stop, he wouldn't listen... Ticked me off!!

as to not being a blonde, been there done that, been blonde... it's not that great. and I find I have bazillions of guy friends even though I'm not blonde. I've also had plenty of interest from guys (who were way younger than me and creeped me out and a few way older, but thats besides the point  )
idk... I just ignore steriotypes and say be yourself cuz it really is the best thing no matter what the media says... but I do tend to like musicians, maybe cuz my dad plays gat and sings, and I like dancers cuz I dance... but he doesn't have to be an amazing dancer, as long as he does his best lol. Like I danced with this guy at my friends wedding and he'd never danced in his life and he found out I was a dancer and apoligised for not being able to dance, and I said "Actually you're not too bad for a first timer" cuz he wasn't trying to pretend he knew how to dance, and idk it was cool.
and something that I thought Id just say...
I prefer blondes, but that doesn't mean I dont like other guys, I've liked all sorts... Brunette, Black hair, Blondes haha

as to not being a blonde, been there done that, been blonde... it's not that great
I find it very handy being a blonde!
If I do anything dumb, I just blame it on my hair color.
(Actually it's starting to turn darker, so it's not very blonde.
Now I'm a "dishwater blonde", which isn't very nice, or a
"Dirty Blonde" which just sounds bad) :^) |

People who play drums are usually really fun to be around, but, yeah, that isn't really a make or break in any way... and I agree, it's not like "do you play an instrument" comes up in the first conversation and is a deciding factor on whether I like a guy =D
I've never really understood the guys like blondes mentality. Okay, maybe I do, in secular culture... never mind. |

David, I agree with Adelynn, playing an instrument is not (and shouldn't be for anyone) the deciding factor on if I'll like a guy or not. for me, it's more like, Bobby (just a random name) plays guitar? cool. and he tries his best and is very dedicated to it? even cooler. because y'know what, 9 times out of 10, that dedication will carry over into all other facets in his life. in my opinion, it's not a shallow concept that I hold in my mind. it says alot about a guy, in fact.
as to the blonde thing... hah. I don't even want to go there. who cares? if you're blonde, fine. if you're not, okay. why is it shallow to like a certain hair color over another? it's not. it's what makes us HUMAN. |

David, i agree, Drummers are awsome(I'm also a drummer). And yes, i also agree that yeah, it shouldn't be a quality that should make you attractive. Sometimes i forget why i play guitar, it is to give glory to god.
And as for the blonde thing.........don't even want to go there, lol |

To get back to the point of the analogy... Imagine being single and not blonde. Are you saying that, as a single girl who is not blonde. guys vastly preferring blondes over every other hair color wouldn't bother you? Even a little?

In all honesty, i couldn't care less is guys liked blondes more... and Im single...
just cuz I know not all guys do, and there will be one out there that likes me for me, no matter what my hair colour is
idk it doesn't bother me...
what Emily said is true about being committed to practising an instrument shows dedication etc.
i actually donno what else to write...
oh and the drummer thing is just my oppinion cuz of that dude... other girls quite like drummers. I'm a drummer myself lol. I just wouldn't date one... and in saying that I could just see God giving me a drummer just because |

I'm brown haired brown eyed and I like looking like dirt!!! My sis and I always argued...her hair was a dark blond and mine dark brown. She said I looked like dirt and I said she looked like dirty sand. So anyway. I never could get that whole blue eyed blond thing...on guys or girls. Most the guys I happened to like were bond and blue eyed, I used to prefer dark, but I honestly don't care, just as long as it's natural. It kind of bugs me how much is put into the blonds. No offense but my friend and I were watching some movies and all the main characters are always blond! the brown haired are always portrayed as very practical and some times cold. (Ok depends on the kind of movie we were watching)
Drummers are cool though I don't know any. My brother is buying a drum set! My best guy friend plays he electric guitar, and accordion! Weird mix. I don't like the electric guitar a whole lot...he is really calm with it and I tell him he's doing great and I'm glad he's putting the effort to teach himself. He knows I'm not into it and oh well. Those kind of things just don't matter to me. f a guy is a video gaming addict that bugs me! My friend's husband is really into video games and it's a struggle for her when he's always in front of the screen |

yeah, the video game thing bugs me so much. I mean, can't you find something else to do besides stare at a tv screen for hours at a time??? I feel the same about regular tv and the computer games, too. Have you seen that ad, where these two guys are sitting in front of a laptop and one says something about his avatar being on an island vacation, and the guy beside him looks at him strangely and asks if the avatar can make the guy money. The avatar guy says "real money, or virtual money?"
I want to say that I used to be really into video games myself, but they are created to be obsessive and addictive and they are and they take over life. |
