Well, I guess I'll start off . So, I have this friend. She's actually my best friend (we've been friends since Kindergarten) Right now, she lives in Florida, and I live here, in Texas. We haven't seen each other for almost two years, but we talk on the phone alllllllll the time. She's definitely changed from when we were younger. Well, she's not a Christian. She's gone through some pretty rough things, so she's not the most faithful person. I've talked to her about God before, but she thinks that it's so bogus that it just goes through one ear and out the other. Sometimes, if we're talking about something she's going through and she asks my opinion of what I'd say or do, I tell her from a Christian perspective, or I tell her that I'm praying for her, then she sounds like she's maybe a little bit more interested. But she even told me she'd NEVER be a Christian. It's really hard as well because both of her parents are atheists, and her stepdad is, well, I guess you could call him an ex-Christian. Everytime we're finished talking on the phone I HAVE to pray for her because she just sounds so sad!She is an extremely stubborn person, so, I guess my prayer request is that she and her family can become Christians someday, and they can see that God is in their lives and that no matter what he loves them. Another prayer request is for my family. During hurricane Ike we lost power for two weeks. We spent a lot of money on supplies, more than we expected. Now we're really tight on money. My Mom is pregnant, and she's stressing a lot. The doctors even told her to calm down. My Dad's also having a rough time at work because of damage from the hurricane. Well, we've been doing good with not spending so much money, but today we got a bill for A LOT more than we expected. It sorta turned things around, and now my parents are stressing again. I just pray that God can help all of us calm down, and that everything can work out financially. Whew! Thanks for listening.
P.S. I know it's a lot, but I looove to pray!!! |

Nicole, honey, you poor thing. I'm so sorry to hear what your family is going through right now. I will definitely pray that things improve. Things are tough financially here, too. :-( I can understand a little bit about your parents' stress.
As for your friend... remember the Bible says to "pray without ceasing." That's sometimes really hard for me to do, especially if I've been praying for a long time without seeing results. My best friend - who has been my best friend since we were in the 7th grade and we're now 29 years old!!! - used to be a Jehovah's Witness when we were kids and now she's some sort of Buddhist. I still pray for her. Sometimes we plant the seed, and God uses other people to help it grow. So take heart, because you planted the seed and you're helping it grow, and now you also need to pray for other Christians to come into her life and influence her.

| I will definately be praying for you Nicole!! I really know wut your going through with your best friend not being a Christian..I have a cuzin that lives up in MT that isnt a Christian, and neither are any of his family members. I talk to him alot, and I have talked to him about God a couple time...and he's just not at all interested..He's pretty willing to talk about it but we dont get anywhere cuz he just says the same thing to everything I say" why live your life worrying...i'd rather just have fun" and its rly discouraging! All I can do is pray....and ive been doing that for a long time and he hasnt changed at all....it's hard for me to have faith sometimes..so I guess I want ya'll just to pray that I would continue trusting God with this and that cousin would realize how important Jesus is in his life. |

Totally! Im in the same boat. My best guy friend from Dance school, isnt a christian, and We would always talk about it (We were on the same bus route and in all the same classes, so we had HEAPS of time to talk) and he always asked questions. He sings christian songs, and stuff, but he always says "Ill become a Christian when Im ready, I wont be forced into it." Which is good, cuz no one should be forced into it, but it seems like he doesnt want to take that step, and it's really hard, cuz I know that if he died, he wouldnt go to heaven. and that scares me! I dont want that tohappen to him! Please pray that Id keep praying for him and that God would continue to knock on his door, cuz I do think, he's really close to becoming a Christian.

| Oh, I thought I should tell y'all this! So, things here are pretty much the same,it's a bit tense, but I think we're all just trying to not sweat things as much! Well, I was offered this awesome opportunity to go to Australia! The trip is next summer. Money, of course, is an issue, but a bunch of us who end up going are gonna hold A LOT of fund raisers! I REALLY hope my parents will let me go because (not just for the experience) the company I'd be going with (It's called People to People) is really prestigious, and it offers 1-12 academic credits and all this other awesome stuff for college! If my parents consider it, though I'd have to go through this scary interview to be accepted, but I don't care, I wanna go!!! I think it's really cool how, no matter what you're going through in life, God still works in amaaaazing and unexpected ways! |

i have 2 prayer requests if yu guys dont mind praying 4 me:
1.i feel like my relationship with God is pretty empty and lifeless at the moment, and ive been struggling with a lot of issues He tells me to obey.so pray that the Lord would open my eyes to what He wants me to see,and that i would obey Him in what He says to obey Him in.
2. me and 1 of my friends lk the same guy, and my bro says he lkes me, but i havent told her, she used 2 go out w/ him, idk who he lkes 4 sure,i think its me, idk - but it's tough lking the same guy.pray that this dude doesnt affect out friendship.thanx,chicas!! |

A couple of my friends were in a sitiuation similar to that, and they aren't as good as friends as they used to be becuz of that...After that I decided I would never let a guy get between me and a friend..it isnt worth it...but thats now...I'm sure it would be alot harder than that. grin. so ya...i'll be praying! |

hey ya'll!!! I have 2 prayer requests...
well my grandpa has already been diagnosed with one type of cancer, but the doctors think he might have bone cancer on top of it... he should be ok if he doesnt have bone cancer, but if he does have it then his chances of living drop dramatically... so if you could keep him in you prayers and also my grandma(his wife) because she is having a rough time with it all...
And if you could say a small prayer for me and my little sister because our parents just got a divorce, and its a big adjustment for both of us... thanx a lot!!!!  |

| Ever since my cuz died I really feel for others when they are in danger of losing or have lost someone they love!!! So I kinda kno what your goin thru!! Just hang in there!!! I'll be praying for you!!! I have a prayer request too...You kno my cuz that I mentioned earlier?? Well, we like never talk anymore...and I think he's going thru a really hard time...but idk wut it is...and I really dont wana call him cuz...idk if he would like that or not...So could you just pray that i'll hav the courage to call him and that he'll talk to me..thanx ya'll!!!! =) |

| OH and Jo, I'll definately be praying for your friend!!! I kno it can be really discouraging sometimes...especially when you absolutely cant do anything but pray!!! At least your frind isnt saying he dont want anything to do with God!! Now THAT is major discouraging!!! But we cant give up right? They mean waaay to much to do that!!!!=) |

ive really been tempted lately to do things with my ex. we both have done stuff that isnt okay
and some stuff i wish i could take back but i cant
pray that ill be able to overcome temptation

| I have a friend and she used to be my best friend. She has tried to commit suicide more then once i think and she told me the other week that she does not believe in God. she comes from a broken home. Over Christmas she went to California to see her mom and she lives with her dad down here in fl. But her stepdad is a drunk and she had a lot of trouble and she is putting it all on me because i am the only person she says she trusts. I pray for her a lot lately and i would love it if ya'll could pray too. Pray that she will realize that God is real and cares about her and loves her and pray that he will help me to lean on Him and just to get closer to him. Please and Thank You for everything. |

Hey I have a prayer request.
I have this guy im sorta getting to know (Its a long distance thing...)
and I asked God to not let me get emotionally attatched if He didnt want me to... so anyways, I am a little emotionally attatched, and I asked God that if this relationship was what He wanted, that God would show me these signs... and so far, every single one has happened. and quite close to when I asked for them.
I'm not 100% sure this guy is the one yet, but I'm starting to think that he is, so I guess I'm asking for y'all to pray that 1. I find out if he's the one and 2. if he is, that God would be at the centre of everything and 3. that you would just pray for my relationship with this guy as I might have to wait like a year before any romantic relationship can start... I'd appreciate it so much!!!

Hey just had a thought. Is the people to people trip to New Zealand as well? And have you got in? Because, my school hosts the people to people trip for a day, and my family homestays the PTP ambasadors , so it would be amazing if you were going on that trip! |

My big brother is going to have knee and back surgery. But before they are able to do that, they are having to make sure his heart is in good condition. Umm. He has this thing called Marfans Syndrome.
Basically it is where the connective tissue in your body...rots. And nothing stays in place. Thats why the danger to his heart...Its so hard trusting God with this because he doesn't have a relationship with Him. So just pray for my brother and his family, and me, that I would trust God!! |
