Sorry I've been absent, I'm kinda busy at the moment. claire: A conservative church where the gospel and grace are preached regularly. (Regularly not meaning annually.) Adelynn: I don't know if you gathered it or not, but... guys are also usually much less secure than most people think we are. Hence all the doing stupid stuff to impress girls, etc. If girls evaluated me on looking good, being romantic, or being funny... I'd do well in the latter two, the first is somewhat subjective. I've never heard that I'm plain or ugly (though I tend to think I'm average) but I've heard varying degrees of it... from decent looking to hot. I guess maybe I just know I come out well in comparisons like that... except I don't sparkle in the sunlight. So while we do have pressure on ourselves, getting those compliments are like... well, landing on cloud nine on your way back down. |

Most of the nearly two billion children in the developing world have inadequate access to dinosaurs. Some receive no paleontology training at all. One in three has never even seen a dinosaur in person.
OVPC is an organization providing a means to an end - an end that sees children in even the most remote regions of the globe being given the motivation and adrenaline to tap into their own potential, identify with the survival needs of a global dinosaur-driven culture, and to contribute to a paleontological world community.

I go to a modern church so no one's gonna be judged if they walk in off the street wearing old clothes but people still wear their fashionable best usually |

Thanks for the responses on that! Gives me something to think about I have to make a choice right now between a liberal and a conservative church. Big descision. I'm doscovering WJR that guys are very insecure even though they look like they got it all figured out. After I learned that important lesson I try not to be so harsh and demanding on guys to get thier act together and firgure things out. Intead keep my loud mouth shut and if I have to open it try to say something encouraging so the guy doesn't feel like he's a worse jerk than he thinks he is. (he usually isn't in my opinion, just his own) |

hey, just letting you guys all know that it was really cool that you took the time to carefully explain that to her, not that i already knew all of that, but it was enlightening and im just sayin, if i was a guy, i feel that i would utterly fail....every time i see a victorias secret commercial or a t.v show commercial that is very seductive and permiscuous, i think "hey! what if i was a guy. i would've just saw that, and i was just watching t.v, trying to keep my mind pure, and it just popped up before i could even look away it was already engrained(sp?) in my brain!" i think i kinda understand because i am a very visual person. images get stuck in there when people say things, weather its a stop sign, or something on the innappropriate side, and you cant just push the "erase" button. its doesn't work like that. i hope i did you guys justice. hey, im trying! | I've limited my tv time because of just what you are talking about, Becky! I know a few guys who have completely stopped watching movies and tv and playing video games, and I have a huge amount of respect for them. |

Becky Thanks do much for being able to relate! Us guys are so darn visual literally if you are watching tv and something pops up it will stay in your mind for months if not years. I know, its pretty darn crazy but its true, along with that it is extremely hard to push it out of your mind. Imagine you are super nervous for an exam and you keep trying to push out the nervous feeling....not so easy! anyways as for the t.v. thing, i used to love it but i literally just don't watch it anymore and its a great feeling! As for video games i grew up without any. I just don't feel the need for video games! Its really great! WJR i really liked your explanation on the whole lust vs. admiration thing! you hit it dead on! I love this thread!!!! |

| I can't say I don't watch TV and I can't say I don't play video games either, however these days I never play games that are R-rated. |

UPC or no? --- I'd have to go with the conservative church, as I've been raised in it and agree with it. It's important to have standards and morals in your life. Most Pentecostal churches aren't condemning. We're very welcoming and accepting. Because we understand that once you develop a relationship with God, you'll get conviction on things in your life. I hate how people make conservative churches sound. "If you don't look like us, you might as well leave" ~Kid Love |

My cousins go to a pentecostal church. The two churches I'm talking about here are the Calvary Chapel and Laestadian Lutheran. Has anyone heard of them? My friend refuses to watch tv or movies because of the effect. i couldn't get him to watch Ice Age and then felt terrible when he told me why he wont watch movies at all. I'm not addicted to tv by all means, it's always going at my work though, I jut keep in on the Judge shows.lol and I do like my Gilmore Girls!! Chick flicks are pointless.. |

Haha. I don't watch TV shows really. Rather, I mostly watch movies about one day a week. Usually Saturday night. Of course I still have to monitor those. |
