Hey everybody! :]

I've been going through the book of Proverbs the past few days, and I noticed that I have alot highlighted. Like, pretty much every other line! Haha. I tend to always go back to it whenever I need wisdom or if I'm confused about something personal in my life. So then I started thinking, I wonder what everybody else's favorite proverbs are? What has spoken to you over the past few years? Months? Days? Do you have a specific one that you're always telling yourself? Or just go through a few chapters and tell me a few that popped out at you. God has me going somewhere with this, but I'm not sure where yet...

PS - If you go on my blog (selfabandoned.wordpress.com), yes, I have basically the exact same post on, but please, put your answers here and there so everybody can see them. Thanks!

You may as well come quiet.

I'm going to put the same thing I have on wordpress:

 Just to name a few:
Proverbs 16:1-3 (I like it because ultimatley God is the deciding factor)
Proverbs 15:1(There have been many times when I know I’ll rather yell my way through an argument but this is so right, what do we gain?it only hurts and not helps)
Proverbs 10(Solomon’s Proverbs)(I agree with what the proverbs have to say)
There are a few more that really stand out but my favorite is Proverbs 16:1 because well for me I’m always trying to have a schedule and everything planned out but it doesn’t work like that. There are so many times that I end up lauging because I thought AGAIN that everything is going to go as planned. God has his own plans for us though, and we can plan all we want but it doesn’t mean it’s going to work.

Proverbs 31, definately. I memorized it for a school project, though all of them are really helpful

Favorite proverbs? One of my absolute favorites is Proverbs 17:28;

Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent;
with their mouths shut, they seem intelligent.

When I was little, everyone always complained that I talked to much. So, I taught myself not to talk so much. Now I realize, all those other people talk to much too, but they're not willing to admit it. There are DEFINITELY some times when I want to quote this proverb to some people. But I know I'd get in trouble for being 'rude'. *sigh*

Favorite proverbs? Hmmm that's a tough one. The book is chalkful of really good wisdom and I tend to try to soak in all of them. One verse i have memorized is Proverbs 17:17- A friend loves at all times, and a brother is for adversity.

whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect -Mark Twain
