haha well dad reacted really weirdly... he would suggest guys to me... he still does... it's weird!!!
one pastor of this church found out I was a drummer and his son's a drummer and he said to me "are you single? I want you to meet my son, he needs a good christian wife." that was so embarassing!!!
I think every dad see's their daughters as "Daddy's little girl" and idk they'll always see us that way... I'm just open with my dad and we have "father daughter" bonding time and I tell him about everything... so he's kinda got used to things and knows where I stand. I've even told him that when a guy wants to date me, before I even give my answer, he's got to ask my dad, and dad felt touched that I felt that way :D
maybe have the talk with your dad now, and tell him you're not even contemplating dating atm, but you'd like to know what his wishes are etc. and that you respect what he has to say. basically be honest with him and be accepting of what he says and let him know you will always be his little girl, but you are gonna grow up sometime, but you'd like to grow up having your daddy by your side every step of the way :D especially when a boy get's too... whatever you call it... and your daddy can look after you :D Only the worthwhile guys will stick around when they see how much you admire and respect your dad and that he's got your back and if they hurt you, they have to face your dad's wrath :P hehe
Sorry, I'm in spazz mode :P so my imagination's running wild lol :D but everything I said relates to what I'm doing/have done atm. and I'm glad my dad has my back :D

LOL in my photo, I'm the one on the right :D but it's photoshopped so the actual photo isn't so bright lol

Turn up the music
Turn it up loud
Take a few chances
Let it all out
'Cause you won't regret it
Lookin' back from where you have been
'Cause it's not who you knew
And it's not what you did
It's how you live
