Hi Everyone!

Im 21 and I live in mixed-gender christian student house.  Because everyone are christians we keep boundaries around the whole guy-girl purity thing.  Guys arn't allowed in girl's rooms and vice versa.  My question though - to the guys on the forum - concerns hanging my washing   A lot of the girls don't hang their underwear on the communal washing line outside but in a pretty dark corridor in the house.  Personally I don't like doing that because it takes long to get dry etc.  Is girl's underwear hanging on a washing line an issue for guys??????   Maybe this is a stupid question but I was really starting to wonder...

I am glad that your are trying to respect the guys and that you do not want to put a "stumbling block" in their way. I would say that it might be an issue for some of the guys. It just depends on where they stand in their walk with the Lord.

For me personally, I would try not to look, cause there might be a chance that it could cause me to stumble, and I def don't want that.

If I were single and in that type of environment "separated co-ed" christian, I know just the circumstances of the situation may lead to it feeling "forbidden", I havent been in that type of situation for years, but I can remember what things were like as a single christian guy. I will say that the type of undergarment would make a difference, if it were a lacy, frilly type of lingere, that communicates "invitation" and its not something a single christian guy wants to come in contact with.

Keep in mind, the setting really puts the smallest things into a mind war situation rather than just a "visual" one, satan can tempt a guy on implicative ideas or thoughts. For instance, seeing "inviting" undergarments on a line may "imply" that "some" female over there is much more sexual or it simply opens the floor to be thought about, much to do about nothing, but thats how satan fights and its not fair or logical

Ask your self how a female might me tempted to be lead away with thoughts if it were "implied" that she might see something shes not supposed to just by accident.... exactly. if not the imagination is still a mine field.

I agree with John...when you are single and trying so hard to stay pure, the littlest things can get your mind going.
